Waitrose & Partners added to The Recycling Event line-up
We are excited to announce that Waitrose & Partners environment manager Ben Thomas will be speaking at The Recycling Event on 2 July at the Ricoh Arena.
Waitrose & Partners is one of the biggest supermarkets in the UK and has taken numerous steps to reduce its plastic waste. It is part of John Lewis Partnership.
Ben is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of Waitrose & Partners environmental strategy. He is currently looking into opportunities to reduce the environmental impacts associated with Waitrose’s items, and is helping to transition the retailer towards becoming more sustainable.
You can hear from Ben in the A Design for Lifecycle Theatre at 9:30am-10:00am, where he will be discussing: How Waitrose is reducing its use of plastic packaging.
We are also happy to reveal that Jane Beasley, director of waste and resource management consultancy, Beasley Associates, will be chairing the Environment: For Love or Money morning session.
Jane is a qualified waste and resource manager and has, for the past 20 years, worked on a wide range of strategic and research projects, as well as providing legislation and policy support at local, regional, national and European level.
We recently announced that Smurfit Kappa Recycling will be exhibiting. The firm is a leader in fibre-based packaging and provides a full range of bespoke paper and board recycling solutions. You can catch them on stand E4.
